It Starts With a Dream
Everything starts with a dream. Martin Luther King had a dream that he formulated into an idea. That idea sparked a plan on how to make that dream a reality. What started as one man’s dream motivated a people to change a nation. You see those of us that lived through and came after the Civil Rights Movement are a continuing living cell of that dream. From Dr. King’s dream came the idea that a skinny unknown Black senator could become the First Black president of these United States. It may not have been Barack Obama’s dream to be president but through the Dream of Dr.King he began to envision the idea that a young senator from Chicago, Il. could be our first Black President. From his idea he formulated a plan of stirring inspiration and hope within the people. That plan sparked a movement to once again change the face of this nation.
